Here's my chance to brag on my Farmer, who works tirelessly at Goodwill @ Homefields Farm to grow nutritious, amazingly delicious, fresh-from-the-farm fruits and vegetables for local families.
Here is where you can sample my Farmer's excellent writing on the subject of growing healthy food for folks, and get a glimpse of what his workdays are like. The farm he manages is worked largely by developmentally challenged "trainee" farmers.
Shareholders purchase an annual membership and weekly pick up their portion of the harvest, June through November. Children pick strawberries and Sungold tomatoes, mommas snip herbs and flowers, and daddies carry watermelons, squashes, and baskets of the week's produce to the car. Everyone is happy!
